UGH I need all of this
Good thing I hoarded some of the hash brown patties! Have not seen them at our TJ the last two times I shopped there.
I find the frozen food aisle to the most annoying aisle to shop - it is perpetually CROWDED and unless you know exactly where you item is, itās hard to wedge yourself in to grab something - feels like there is not time for browsing frozen foods!
I agree. And when hubby and I are both trying to explore the options together, it is even harder. In retirement we can shop midweek, so itās a little better than our prior Saturday visits.
@BunsenBurner --in case TJās doesnāt keep stocking, I think you might need this recipe from Smitten Kitchen (just posted today):
We are not big TJās shoppers. We do most of our shopping at either Costco and local farms.
However, there are a few things that we make specific trip to TJās s for. The biggy is Cowboy Caviar (a corn and black bean salsa). We stopped there yesterday and bought five jars. Also, ShawWife likes some of their gluten free crackers (some kind of crisp bread). We get the frozen Sag Paneer meals for lunches or occasional dinners. We also get bread and butter pickles. Although Iām not eating them, I love the frozen chicken enchiladas and a couple of other things like that for lunches.
Has anyone noticed the absence of marcona almonds? I am going through withdrawal.
We love these. One of the staples we pick up whenever we are in TJs. They donāt have them all the time unfortunately!
I bought Marcona almonds last week at the TJ in Boulder, CO. But I had to get a roasted truffle/salt flavor. Have not tried them yet.
Costco usually carries them! (pardon the competition on a TJ threadā¦)
I love those things. Havenāt had them in years. They seemed to have stopped selling them on our area at some point. I will have to check again.
some new (to me) ideas hereā¦
I donāt know if someone else has mentioned this, but I like the crumbled Feta cheese with Mediterranean herbs. I put it on salads. Thereās no way I could get as good a mix of herbs myself.
@jonri if you eat eggs, that feta is divine in an omelet, and baked on pizza!
Thanks! Iāll have to try it with an omelet! I hadnāt thought of that
Just bumping this up to say we are enjoying the strawberry soda (no added sugar!) In improvised daiquiris tonight . . . Note to self: need to lay in a supply for summer cocktails!
As someone with celiac, I think their GF waffles and pancakes are some of the best. Also best GF bagels - even have pumpkin spice flavor in fall. Rest of GF bread products just OK. Although the GF chocolate muffins (basically a cupcakeš¬) and cinnamon cupcakes are fantastic.
Help! in 2 weeks I have to make dinner for 20 people using ingredients only purchased at Trader Joeās (no frozen dinners). Easy is preferred!! Recipes please!
