Are there any cases under which a traditional student would be accepted to GS? Possibly such as a financially disadvantaged student?

Isn’t financial aid available on Columbia College as well?

I’ve met a couple of traditional students who had compelling reasons for why they should be able to attend part-time. Most of the participants in our joint-degree programs are just out of high school. Beyond that, you’d want to apply to CC, SEAS, or Banard.

That said, financial aid is merit based at GS and you’ll be rewarded according to your academic performance, not your need.

If you’re a traditional student and your only reason for looking at GS is cost, I would apply to CC instead. CC has great need-based finaid, and as hellojan said, GS has only limited funds for merit-based aid.
