Trancript, Recommendation and SAT report clarifications

1)Is it not needed to submit transcripts and rec. letters for Berkeley and UCLA? so other than the application submission and the SAT score report , what is needed to be submitted?

2) If the SAT report has been delivered by Collegeboard to Berkeley, how to find out if it has reached them? Where in the tracking or status section can this be confirmed?

3) If the SAT report has been sent by Collegeboard to Berkeley, does it get sent to other UC uni's as well or should 1 report be sent to each uni?

1) You HAVE to submit your transcript. I don’t recall, but the letters of rec. are either not necessary or not taken at all. I’m not sure, but either way I know they’re not mandatory.

2) You can go to the MyBerkeleyApp and check from there.

3) I’m almost certain that if 1 college gets it, the other UC’s have it, as well, if you submit your app to those other campuses.

When should I send you my official transcripts and all of my test scores?
A: Please do not send documents or other information to Berkeley unless requested. If we need more information from an applicant, we will contact you. Most students give us enough information in their applications for us to make a sound decision. After admission decisions are posted on myBerkeleyApplication, each admitted student will see their own Conditions of Admission explaining exactly what official documents Berkeley requires.

So, do we NOT need to send the official transcripts during appying??
Also what about SAT reports?

The above FAQ says not much specifically about SAT scores.

^ you DON’T submit your transcript to UCs. They will verify your info in the app after admission when you send the final transcripts after spring semester. If anything doesn’t much with what you entered in the grades and classes online, then you’ll probably get rescinded or punished. They are trusting that you’ll be honest with them in your UC Application.

You are correct in that one score report to one UC will be available to all UCs.

You have to submit score reports (I clarified with my counselor last week about the transcript/score report issue since it’s not clear) by their deadline, which is December 30 or so, check on collegeboard or their website. So u can send ur report(s) in now if you aren’t taking a test in January. Good job on finalizing your process! I’m still writing essays x|

If one has a B-, A- or B+ how can the plus and minus be entered?

you don’t enter them. the UC system ignores + or - in calculating its UC GPA for eligibility and admissions.

What they said ^. Pluses and minuses don’t matter in UC admissions.

You end up benefiting from this xP
