<p>Hi All,
I'm new to this forum. I'm a high school student and I want to become a pharmacy in the future. I have some questions that I want to ask.
1. I heard many people said that Pre-Pharmacy Program is similar to the undergraduate program at other school such as UC Berkeley, etc. Is it true?
2. Does University of California- San Francisco have the Pre-Pharmacy Program?
3. If it does, Am I allowed to transfer directly from high school to UCSF to attend in the Pre-Pharmacy Program and continue on to the graduate program in this school?
4. Lastly, Is UCSF a private or public school?</p>
<p>Thanks so much!</p>
<p>You should ask your question in the Pharmacy School forum</p>
<p>[Pharmacy</a> School - College Confidential](<a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/pharmacy-school]Pharmacy”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/pharmacy-school)</p>
<p>1) pre-pharm is a not a specific major, but a set of required classes that you can take at just about accredited US college or university, including UCB, UCSF.</p>
<p>2) UCSF offers degrees in variety of topics that will allow you to complete the pre-pharm requirements. </p>
<p>3) You cannot “transfer” from high school to UCSF, you must graduate from high school and apply for undergraduate admission. Since UCSF does NOT have a 0-6 or early assurance pharm program, you will not be able to continue on the professional program without completing your college degree, taking the PCAT and applying thru regular channels.</p>
<p>4) UCSF is California public university</p>
<p>great information thanks!</p>
