I was wondering what my chances are of successfully being able to transfer into Texas A&M's engineering school if I go into general studies first for a semester or two.
I got 2070 SAT's
780 Math
670 English
620 Reading
3.6390 GPA
34 out of 259 Class Rank
I am currently taking AP French, AP English Lit, AP Calc, AP Physics Mech + E&M, History and Gym. I took APUSH and AP English Language last year and got 4's on both

Currently I am a high school senior who was offered admission to Texas A&M for general studies but I want to go to their engineering school.

Does A&M have a separate admissions process for the Engineering program? If not, it’s usually just a matter of meeting the per-requisites for the courses.

I’m doing the same thing. I was admitted into Biology but I want to go into Biomed engineering. These were the requirements for biomed engr. It may be different for different types but I would use this as a general basis–

So basically just take the classes and get at least 3.25 and you should be fine.
