Transaction limit on telebears

I heard there was a transaction limit on telebears. Can anyone define what a transaction is (like number of clicks or adds and drops, etc) and what the limit is? Thanks.

I remember hearing about it before, but I never knew anyone that ran into that problem. Supposedly it’s something like 100 logins into the Telebears page during a certain phase. I don’t know if the rule still applies, for I remember logging in more than that number and never running into that problem. Apparently, if you reach the limit, Telebears would lock you out from accessing it and you would have to contract the administrator or something like that to be allowed back in. As long as you don’t login multiple times everyday I can’t see how this will be a problem.

yea if you look somewhere on the site, it says how many times you can access for the phases and adjustment period. personally idk how this works…i feel like i’ve checked thousands of times and nothing happens.

Transactions are not accesses, they are changes to your registrations for the semester. Add a class, drop a class, change a grading option, switch sections, but you can log in and look as much as you want. You have to do quite a bit of switching around before you would hit the limit.

I’m bumping this up as an fyi. I recently exceeded the limit and had to email the registrar to get it reset.

It’s 40 logins per phase, logins defined by the number of times you click on the semester tab. ie: If you log into telebears and click on “Fall 2011” that counts as one. If you log into telebears and click something else, it won’t count toward your phase I count. I don’t know if logging into telebears once and then entering your Fall 2011 page 40 separate times count.

+1 to testify to the 40 logins per phase mAxImUs
