Does UIUC need a high school transcript and recs? I can't find the page on the application that informs me to send any recs or my transcript and where to send it.

yes for transcripts, no for any kind of rec

do i send in the transcripts after i submit the app?

yes, have your school send them

App must be sent by Jan 2, all supporting materials need to be in their hands by Jan 12, so you should have transcript sent to assure it arrives there by no later than Jan 12. You can send before completing app and with some high schools, which are notoriously slow in getting transcripts out (it seems to take some of them weeks to process a send transcript request), you would be wise to order it earlier rather than later.

Note, rifelife, if you read this, this also responds to your question (you can send transcript separately). Don't know what you did when putting up your post on this board but it cannot be responded to.

drusba,

what if my school is open at jan 6th, and they send application that late?

So the school gave the transcript to me to send the trancsrpit by myself.

everything is sealed but i am scared that what if postal office stamp that this is from a

apartment, not school?

Merry Christmas!!!

It will probably be fine since the transcript most likely have an official's signature on it.

Official transcript can be sent: (a) by high school directly, or (b) by applicant as long as high school placed transcript in sealed envelope before giving it to you to send (high schools have seals they place on point where envelope could be open and that seal needs to be unbroken when you send it).

whats the address to send the transcript? It doesnt seem to be on the application, will a page show after i submit my application telling me what to do about the transcript?

the adress is the Admissions Office Address

Office of Admissions and Records
901 West Illinois Street
Urbana IL 61801-3028

drusba,

When i checked my transcript, i realized that the envelope is just glued.

Is that fine too?

That should be fine. Only "bad" thing that can happen is that if they question it, they will just ask you to have the school send another (they won't deem your app or materials to be too late).
