I have not been a college student for a few years now, & have recently decided to go back to school this fall. I pulled up my transcript today to review from Kennesaw State University in Georgia, and saw that I have an “F” instead of a “W” for a class I withdrew from in Spring of 2013. So I called the registrar’s office, and at first the woman over the phone tried to tell me that there is no mistake, and that I failed to withdraw from the class. I am certain that I did withdraw from the class. So she proceeds to tell me that because of how long ago this was, it may be difficult for them to go back and change it. She suggested that I e-mail the issue to the registrar’s office, as well as the admins over the dept. of mathematics, as well as my math teacher who’s class I withdrew from. Unfortunately the teacher is no longer there, but I did send an e-mail & copy of my transcript over to everyone over the mathematics dept. I am waiting to hear back from someone. I know mistakes can happen sometimes, but I am so nervous about this, and upset at how this has lowered my GPA. I did take the class the following semester (Spring 2013) and passed with an “A.” I have never been an “F” student and hope this can be worked out so I can send my transcripts over to the school I plan on attending this fall! Has anyone ever had this experience? If so, how long did it take to resolve? Should I be freaking out as bad as I am right now? :-0 :-0 :-0
