<p>Due to what my guess is a recent software/system change, my school (from what I see and from what I've heard) has made errors on our official transcripts.</p>
<p>I received my class rank and size for the end of my junior year earlier this year, and it does not match what is posted on my transcript (I am basing this off the rank and size listed on my completed college app). The difference puts me 13 slots/~3% lower, and makes my class appear ~90 students smaller. I also hear the GPAs were messed up, and a downloadable unofficial transcript shows credits as double posted.</p>
<p>Is there anything I can do? The application deadline is Dec. 1st. They have already received my transcript, as I sent it about 2-3 weeks ago but it just showed up online today. I know the change isn't terribly drastic but it still affects my chances.</p>
<p>I plan on calling the office of admissions, as well as talking to my counselors, but would it even help any?</p>
<p>This information is going to be most credible if the schools you apply to hear it directly from your GC. If your GC calls the admissions office, it can also allow him/her to put in a good word for you during the conversation. The GC will probably also need to send it by email or letter to be sure it gets into your app file.</p>
<p>Well I have a big Mess! I am 53 and took classes in 1995 & 1996 in Texas! Never had a reason to check since the college is suppose to handle all of this…RIGHT !! I am having to change careers due to health, and asked for transcripts to be sent to my local Community College so I can get a new career. Well there is a wrong class on there, which is an F because I never signed up for that class or I would have been there! Then the don’t have a class I took…UGH The class I took would have been the same time they have the wrong class listed. Now for 3 weeks I have been trying to get this corrected and I was told they did not have access to my grades since they are that old. OK…now I am really mad. If they don’t have access to this info, then why do we have transcripts and what the heck do I do now? I want to take summer classes but I think I am screwed since they don’t know what to do or they are to lazy to find them! Needless to say an F brought down my GPA and not having my Comp & Rhet II listed (which I am sure is an A cuz Comp & Rhet I was am A. English is my best subject! I was told I would have to prove all this stuff since they could not get to the info. FOR REAL? Like I have all these papers after all this time! HELP!!</p>
<p>^^ Ha, one of my schools told me I couldn’t appeal a grade until 10 years has passed. </p>
<p>OP, My current transcript has a “B” where an “A” should be. I’ve been trying to correct it since the grades were posted in December. I finally got ahold of the prof mid-Jan and she said it was in fact a mistake, but the change is still processing. I applied to transfer schools early this month and had to send in the uncorrected transcripts. It really ****es me off, because that makes the difference between a 3.6 and a 3.7 for me!</p>
