Transcript for freshman

Can you request a copy of your transcript at the end of freshman year from your high school? Thanks.

oh yea you could. but why? </p>

My school gives them out every semester, mostly to check for errors, etc. Also to give a general idea for those who don't remember what they've taken (which is more people than I could imagine...).

It doesn't hurt to have an unofficial copy for your own personal record.

The transcript doesn't need to be signed by the registrar, embossed with the school seal or sealed in an envelope if it's just for you. It might even come in handy if you find some summer enrichment program or other impromptu activity to participate in during the summer.

Does the transcript show class ranking in your school?

Some schools will include class rank, SAT scores, UC GPA, grade 9-12 vs 10-12 GPA, student picture, etc., while others don't. It's strictly a school's decision as to what appears on a transcript.

That is why it is best just to ask your school for a copy.
