Transcript GPA Question

My current GPA listed on my transcript.

I’m unsure whether or not its weighed or unweighed?
It does not say to either side whether or not it is, I know I can’t ask smarter students what their GPA on their transcript is because most of my friends aren’t the type to say.

I appreciate the time and effort to respond to my question, and do colleges see this 3.9 as a weighed or unweighed?

Either ask your guidance counselor (best option) or try to infer…have you gotten all A’s with only one or two lower grades?

I agree…ask your counselor. If you don’t want to then just calculate the GPA yourself. I suspect though if there is only one GPA on there then it’s probably unweighted.

No guesses here. I’ve seen too many posters who say their school only gives WGPA. Ask your GC.

My GC says its unweighed. Do colleges take into account of your AP grades and scale it to their own scale?

If it is 3.9 on a 4.0 scale then does it really matter? They can see that you have virtually all A’s

Colleges will either use their own weighting or will eyeball your schedule to see how challenging it is.
