I'm unsure if this belongs in the non-traditional subforum or not, so I'll just place it here and hope someone moves it there if need be.

Out of high school, in 2008, I decided to follow my heart instead of logic and move to England to attend college. A combination of homesickness, family health issues and the economy tanking led to me essentially dropping out before completing my first semester, but after the end of the university's official withdrawal period. This left me with some fairly significant debt. After returning home, I applied to several universities and was accepted to most of them. I did not include the fact that I'd gone to school in the UK on those applications. However, the reality of my bad decisions caught up to me and I realized I wouldn't be able to afford going to school anywhere at that time.

Now, after several years of hard work, I've reduced my debt to a manageable level and am looking to get back into school. I applied at one of the universities that I was accepted to in 2009, but absent mindedly included my overseas college experience in the application. Now the school will not admit me without the transcripts. This bothers me, obviously, because my transcripts will just show "NC" for all of my classes. I'm not looking to make excuses for myself, but that really doesn't tell the whole story. Also, being as the school is overseas, the cost of shipping the documents is fairly high.

Is there anything I can do here or will I just have to suck it up and pay for the transcripts?
