Help! Does anyone know what options I have? Long story short, I need to go back to school or I lose my job of 16 years. All documents (transcripts) need to be returned to school by July 22. One of my previous colleges has yet to send my transcripts due to an issue with their personnel. There is NO hold on my account; NO money owed; NO problems on my end. I've been trying to get my transcripts since June 09. Anyone have ANY idea what I can do to light a fire under their butts???? (I've already made dozens upon dozens of calls ... everyone just says, "They're working on it").

I would email and tell them that you’re going to visit and actually go and hassle them like there’s no tomorrow. Or just keep at it, maybe you’ll get it eventually.

The only thing is, you have to cut them a little bit of slack, especially if your transcript has never been transferred to an electronic database. If you graduated 16+ years ago, think about all the students that have come and gone since then.

But good luck.

Thanks for your reply. This is a recent college (<10yrs). They were able to send my unofficial transcript to me in 30sec via email. As far as driving to them … I went to an “online” campus in Virginia … I live quite far from there. I was told that the person that originally handled the transcripts was “let go” from his position 2-3 days ago. Gee, I wonder why? Also, this is a well-known college with campuses in many states now.
Anyway, thanks again. I guess I’m just agitated and terrified of losing my job with 2 young children to support … especially if the cause is a transcript!
