I submitted my application online on 10/28. A few days ago I got an e-mail from UM saying they received my application and that I could now check my app status on Wolverine Access. So I did, but on the app status page I did not check the "view credentials" page until today. My ACT tests and SAT II tests show up, along with my school report and teacher eval. But by "high school transcript" it says not received. I confirmed twice with my counselor in mid October that he submitted all the required documents. It also showed up as complete with the green triangle on the Common App. Is this an error on UM's part, that maybe they haven't updated it?? Or does this mean my counselor lied and didn't submit it?? I'm super stressed I don't know what to do :/
And the admissions office is closed so I can't call til Monday... :(

Take a deep breath and calm down, you’re really not going to know until Monday when you can call and ask. You say you confirmed two times already with your high school guidance office that they sent the transcript so call UofM and see what they say. If your guidance office doesn’t have a fit, ask them if they have a record of what date they sent it and how they sent it before you call UofM. Don’t go roaring in all wild eyed to the guidance office, just calmly tell them that your status at UofM is showing that they have not received your transcript and you are wondering if the guidance office kept a record of what day it was sent and how it was sent. It’s entirely possible UfoM has not updated all their records…

Actually we have a similar issue. Everything was submitted by the high school via Naviance about 4 weeks ago. On the Common App., it shows as missing the teacher recommendations, and when I called UMich on Friday they said it can take 2 weeks for everything to show up online.

In fact, if it shows up green on the Common app, you are probably fine—UM cannot update their Wolverine site fast enough!!!

Yeah, they probably just haven’t updated it yet!

But where did you find this “view credentials” page?
When I click on “Application Status” under Admission, all I see is that my application was submitted; no details.

I really hope they just haven’t updated it, but what worries me is that everything else shows up. My counselor said he submitted the stuff online so mailing time shouldn’t be an issue.

It’s not on my common app that it shows up missing, it’s on my WA account.

To the person who asked about the view credentials page… After you log in to your account and click on the application status link, you see your name, date received, app #, and college (LSA, etc). Right under it there’s two links. I can’t remember what the first one is but it shows you all your info like birth date, place of birth, etc. theres one right next to it that says view credentials and shows all of your materials (school report, teacher recs, ACT/SATs, and transcript)

Strange, I don’t have two links there… though it does say “Available links will vary based on application”. I’m international, could that be why?

I’m not international, but I also do not have those links on my application status page. What program did you apply to?

Regular LSA. Was going to apply to RC, but decided against it. I will however be applying to Honors if admitted.

Just an update for anyone who is interested or was experiencing the same problem… it updated yesterday to “Received 11/11/11”. UMs website says if it’s received by 11/15 it means they were in fine by 11/1. Sooo relieved! Go Blue!

UM
where on Michigan’s website does it state

The key here is that the materials must have been postmarked or electronically submitted by November 1st. It takes them awhile to get everything uploaded and if send by postal service received and matched to your application.

anything that is marked 11/15/11 or earlier on Wolverine is considered as meeting the EA deadline
