Transcript problem help

<p>So I was wondering about something. First do dropped classes show up on your transcript and can colleges find out about dropped classes? The reason I ask is because I took honors French 4 last year and because the French curriculum at my school is very poorly set up, there was a huge disconnect in the level of intensity between French 1-3 and French 4. So I did not do well and decided to drop it as I knew it would only hurt me mire as the class got harder through the year. Over half the class dropped out as well and I was wondering if this would show up in my transcript and if I should bother trying to justify it somewhere in my application? Thanks. </p>

<p>In our HS a dropped class may or may not show up on a transcript depending upon when in the year the class was dropped. I suggest you talk to your guidance counselor, ask for a copy of your transcript that will be sent to college and see what the story is. If the class shows up, perhaps ask your guidance counselor to address the problems with the class in his or her letter (the fact that half the class dropped etc.). If the class is not on your transcript you don’t need to address it.</p>
