Hello CC,
So Fall 2015 applicants are waiting for decisions right now, and I keep thinking about one thing: the transcript process. What is the best way to ensure that, when the UCs ask for our transcripts, that they receive our transcripts without problem? Is it best to order them from each CCC, and have them send it in? Or order and have it delivered to us, and we mail it in (unopened, official) through USPS, UPS, whatever?
Same thing for AP scores and high school transcripts (if needed). Thanks and good luck everyone!
^^ yep. Due date is usually July 1, but they are flexible. Have the schools send, but be sure and verify even after you get an email verification from the CCC, as a lot of student transcripts are sent in one packet, and there have been inadvertent mishaps, with a transcript not making it as stated.
And yes you are responsible for every transcript/exam scores getting sent out.
I think you can usually find somewhere up on your portal if they got them, but not always. If you can’t, send an email about a week or so later. They will respond in a day or two. Just send to admissions verifying they got it. Those emails saying the transcript was delivered are not always 100% accurate.
Yeah you have to have the CCC send it directly to them. On the portal it shows when they receive it, but it takes them a few weeks to mark them as received. Then they must review them, which takes a few weeks longer. It’s really annoying waiting for it. But as long as you stay in contact with your admissions officer there is nothing to worry about.
