Transcript question

My transcript has 9 columns of grades, one for each mid-term, one for each semester (we operate on a tri-semester system so we have fall, winter, and spring) and one for "Final" grades which pretty much averages everything out.

The reason I ask this question is because I'm wondering when I send in my grade transcripts to college, will they look at each individual grade I earned for each mid-term and semester or will they just look at the final grade for each class? (this is important because even if I had a B for one semester and A's for the other two semesters, I could still end up with an A for a final grade).

Thanks!

Our school also doesn’t report GPA’s, they just send in our grade transcripts and allow colleges to calculate/judge it themselves.

bumpp…

bump, can someone please just answer this question? sorry if this seems desperate.

I think they’ll look at your final grade in terms for GPA (to calculate) but they’ll probably look at the other grades just to see how you improved, etc… It probably won’t affect you though, but I think the final grade is what matters.

Different colleges will probably look at your transcript differently; some might look at trimester grades, some year end only, others both. It’s beyond your control. There is nothing you can do about it and no need to stress over it. It is what it is.

Good luck.
