My school has a quarter system, with two semesters a year. 2 marking periods = 1 semester. Anyway, the marking period just ended. I was wondering if I'm supposed to send this in lieu of the mid year transcript report.

I would assume so, if this is your mid-year. Even if it's the first marking period I can't think of any downside to sending it.

Just send both quarters of first semester in; they won't mind.

Isn't your system just a semester system with progress reports like any other school? Usually progress reports are unofficial and can have mistakes. This is why teachers at my school never bother to change grades on progress reports. My school is actually on a quarter system, just minus the summer quarter. We modeled after UCSD, so we actually have 3 trimesters.

Thanks. I forgot to mention I'm applying EA and obviously the first semester here will end after the EA decision. If I have my guidance counselor mail the first marking period grades this monday, will they arrive in time before the EA decision period? Or should he fax them? Once again, thanks and have a righteous thanksgiving.

I would think at this point that anything meant to be in consideration for EA admission ought to be faxed to get there quickly.

hey everyone...I have a transcript related problem too.
See my school does annual grading (although we do have two term exams). Now in my current transcript there are only grades from 9-11 and class 12 mid year grades are obviously not there.
As I already have my mid year grades should I request my school to just incorporate my mid-year into the Transcript and explain that the grades have been specially mentioned in the transcript although the school follows an annual grading system due to the college's requirement.
