Hi

My school uses naviance for all things college application

I requested my transcripts to be mailed to the 7 schools I am applying to. I did this on 10/10/08. The page lists the dates that the applications are due for all of my schools. I am applying ED to RPI, the application deadline is Nov 1.

Should I be worried that NONE of my transcripts have been mailed yet?

Will I be held accountable for my guidance department being extremely lazy?

Hooray Naviance (my school uses it too)!

Anyways, I wouldn't be too worried, because schools do this year after year after year after year and they are pretty good at getting everything where it needs to be, when it needs to be. Besides, they'd be fully accountable if your transcript doesn't get in by when it needs to be, because you requested it really early.

Does your school have a requirement for how early you must request transcripts? Like for example, my school demands we request at least four weeks before the deadline.

There was nothing on my school website that gave me a requirement and my counselor never gave me a date :-/

Then I'd say it's all on their shoulders. You did everything right: you requested it pretty early, giving them plenty of time to send it out, etc.

Either way, I understand you're probably nervous, but I'd be willing to bet that they're going to get your transcript out on time :).
