Are you required to send a high school transcript as part of the application to the University of California schools? I've searched the website a thousand times and I don't see anywhere where it says you have to. This seems strange so I figured I'd ask you guys.

You do it when you go decide to attend (and have been accepted of course). Thus, you're sending a final transcript in then but until then, no you do not because you're self-reporting your grades in. However, that doesn't give you free license to put whatever you'd like because it would definitely be awkward if they don't match up, meaning it'll look poorly on you.

yes, like QuixoticRick has said, you're self-reporting your grades. If your grades however do not match when you send in the final transcript after you get accepted, you WILL be denied (as their website says)
