Transcript scores vs official scores?

Hello all,

I am a Questbridge finalist and I ranked Columbia, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, UPenn, UChicago, USC and Dartmouth (in that order). I have made sure my latest SAT scores have been sent to them, but I also want them to have my ACT scores. I am aware that my ACT scores are on my transcript. Will they review my ACT scores as well, or will they just look at my SAT scores? I really don’t want to spend $108 on sending my official scores. I didn’t use the four free score reports because I was afraid I’d mess up, which I do regret now, but oh well. Any help would be appreciated.

I think it depends on if you personally reported the test scores on the QB application and on the CommonApp (if any of those schools require you to fill out the CommonApp in addition; I know Yale doesn’t). If you didn’t report the ACT scores in the testing section, they might not look at them. Some schools don’t accept the scores from the transcript and will only want an official report, I think. Your best bet is to e-mail the individual schools and ask.
