All my transcripts have arrived...yea!

I saw mine

So most you guys are all set then?

they got mine, whew.

Mine is still in-review.

both my college and hs transcripts are final, yay!

IB scores still not up...

does anyone know who I can contact via email to varify the status of my 2004 AP scores? My last name is Chu and I can't find an email address anywhere.

You can try calling Remy Andrada. That is who collegeboard had me contact. Her number is (510) 642 - 4097 and ask her about your AP scores. I'm sure she can tell you who your advisor is as well. You might have to end up calling collegeboard in order to have them resend the scores again if Berkeley still hasn't received them. I just ended up faxing the student copy of my AP scores. Hope that helps!

My high school transcipt hasn't been recieved yet, though it was sent last month. I've called both Berkeley and my school district. Multiple times. I've written letters. I've emailed.

I'm not SUPER worried because I've kept records of all my communication with them so if they block my registration, I'll pull out the big guns.

Remember that scores below a 3 are not posted.

I just received a letter via email saying that one of my transcripts has still not been received. I was informed that my registration is now blocked, although I can continue to enroll and register in fall courses when my next appointment arrives.

My letter also said that I have 10 business days to get that transcript to Berkeley. After 10 days, my admission is subject to termination. At this point, I'm really upset. I successfully requested and sent each needed document long before the due date. All other documents were there by the deadline, no problem. I checked with the school in question multiple times when I started to notice that the transcript was missing on MyBerkeleyApp, and they verified that the transcript had been sent in June. They also verified with their own records and informed me that the transcript had reached destination and had been signed for by a UC mailroom employee.

Basically, Berkeley lost my transcript. The Admissions and Records office at the paticular school is now closed for the summer. I ordered another transcript offline, and I got an e-mail from the ordering company (seperate from the school) that they received my order and will send the document in 72 hours. Hopefully, this actually happens, and isn't affected by the fact that no one is working at the school right now.

My admission officer is not helping me very much. All she is doing is telling me that she has not gotten it. I sent her proof that it was sent out, but it still doesn't seem to be prooving my point. I am usually not this flustered, but I am scared that my admission is going to be revoked because of a irresponsible mailroom employee.

Any advice kiddos?

Continue to call, e-mail, etc. to contact Berkeley and let them know what is going on. Speak to another admission officer/secretary if necessary. Let her know that you have problems and press the issue.

I thought I would encounter a situation like this, but thankfully, my transcripts made it there. But I did e-mail Ms. Filomeo (the person handling my stuff) when I originally thought my transcripts would not make it there; this was her reply:

Dear Student,

I received your phone message in regards to you requesting your transcript but unsure if it will make it here by the deadline of July 15, 2005. As long as you have requested the transcript from your high school we can just wait until it comes in. Unfortunately we do not have it yet but I would recommend you continue checking my berkeley app online to insure it has been received. When you return on the 24th contact me and if it hasn't been received we can discuss further options.

--
Of course I did make it back before the 24th and my transcripts did make it. But I don't know why your person is not being so cooperative.

Thank you so much for your quick response. I e-mailed my admission officer just a few minutes ago, in response to the 'final notice' she sent me this afternoon regarding the transcript status and the terms of my admission.

I am really trying to figure out what I can do to make this situation work in my favor. Ive been told that I can still register for classes, so I don't really understand what the block on my registration would keep me from doing. All I know is that I probably cannot accept loans if there are any blocks on my registration. I have no idea if there is a deadline of when you need to accept these loans in order to have them available to you by the Fall semester.

I do not know whether my admission officer is just following regulations, or if she is really being less than helpful. In my own annoyed ways, I feel that Berkeley should be stepping up and fixing this problem because it is basically their fault for loosing my transcript. My officer has not acknowledged that this is the case, which makes the whole ordeal even more unbearable. She keeps insisting I check with the school, but there is only so many times I can hear the same thing - it was sent and got there.

I'm just hoping that my transcript gets there. If not, I guess I'm truly at a loss. I have done everything in my power to get it to them, even paying 30 dollars requesting these transcripts twice, rush delivery.

Where do I find the email or number to call about transcript! My last name is T, if that matters.

I'm sorry, Izzie, that situation is terrible! I sent mine overnight, and it was received by Berkeley, but the website has not acknowledge it. How were you notified that your transcript didn't yet arrive? Did you contact Berkeley, or did Berkeley contact you?

I contacted Berkeley before the deadline and continued to have regular contact with my admissions officer to check up on the status of that last transcript. She sent me a 'routine' e-mail yesterday stating that the transcript was late and needed to be sent in within 10 ten days to lift the block on my registration. Of course, I already knew that it hadn't gotten there, but I thought that since I had done everything in my power to help the situation, that she could have made an exception, or offered an alternative way to view these grades. Afterall, it is obvious that the mailroom has misplaced it.

Hopefully the transcript comes to my house today or tomorrow. I ordered it to be sent to my house since I want to know that it has gotten to at least one destination. Then I'm just going to send it overnight. I might even deliver it in person, even though Berkeley is a drive away from me.
