Transcript Update: How Should I go about it?

Long story short, I was deferred Columbia College. I’ve got several updates I’d like to send in, which I think will contribute to my transcript. However, I’m not sure what I should do though. Here are the two things I’ve heard.

Mail them in.

Contact the regional ad con about them.

I’ve rewritten my original essay, so with choice 1, it could accompany my transcript updates if i were to mail it.

On the other hand, it seems many people reccomend getting in personal contact with the regional ad con, since it gives them more reason to remember you. The problem with that is, I’m not sure if it’ll be ok to attach the essay with the transcript, and if it’s via phone, I won’t be able to include the essay.

Help and pointers are appreciated!

Well you need to get the paperwork to them so it can be included in your file. Whether you talk to the adcom or not is another thing. Get those papers into the mail ASAP with the application # Columbia assigned to you on it. Then call the adcom and say, hey, I just put these in the mail and wanted you to know I love Columbia blah blah blah

why not do both?
