Transcript Validation- Possibly rescinded?

Hi. I'm kind of worried because I think i may have misreported my GPA on the application for UCSD. Not on purpose, but I might have done it by accident. I'm not sure if i did or not, and i'm not sure by how much if i did. So can anyone give me some sort of idea about how strict they are with that information that doesn't line up?

I doubt they have the time to go compare everyone's GPA from their app to their GPA from their transcript. That said, if you said on your app you had a 4.2, and your transcript comes in at a 3.1, I think you've got a problem.

But for you to have been accepted, didn't they receive an official transcript with your grades up to that point?

Or are you not accepted yet?

Um, when I averaged my UC grade, for whatever reason i think i might have averaged it wrong. So i think I put somewhere around 4.1 to a 4.15, whereas my real GPA is like a 4.04.

And i have been accepted, just provisionally. I don't remember having to send in a transcript though...but I've had a lot of crap going on lately so I could have.

you don't send an official transcript to UC's while applying so no you probably didnt send one, all grades were self reported

on your myapplication page doesnt it still show your essay/application and all the stuff you said??

i remember that i could still sign on that page for awhile and look at that info, so maybe you could go there and see what you put, and how different it might be

don't they calculate your GPA? i think its only an issue if you misrepresent classes/grades

uhm, as sort of a on topic side question, does anyone know if my transcript will get invalidated if my grade is HIGHER than what i reported?

I put a B for Economics AP, but as of now my teacher has changed my grade to an A, since I did makeup work that was retroactive. So, they think its a B, but its actually an A now. Will they get mad for the discrepancy, or is it only for if your grade is lower than reported?

I doubt they'll get mad at your grade being higher than reported. They're just trying to prevent people who get in due to their falsely reporting high stats when they wouldn't have gotten in with their actual ones.
