Does anyone else not have a validated transcript yet?

... I guess it's just me? =[

mine isnt.... but i got a D so, quite frankly not surprised. is your grades ok and everything? if it is, i wouldnt worry about it.

Yeah your not alone, many people on here are missing checkmarks and stuff.

mine isn't checked either... i did pretty poorly my first semester of senior year but worked my ass off in second for decent grades. i just hope that first semester is cool with them...

As long as you don't have any D's then you're fine. If you did have any D's then the best thing you could have done was to let them know about it beforehand...too late for that now though.

yeah, everything is in order. I guess it's just taking incredibly long.

i had a D in ap physics my first semester... i told ucsd about it before admissions but i guess they were alright with it? still got admitted and good thing i did better second semester

it just gets on your nerves when u realize the very last part of this long process has the potential to get u rescinded

^
Yeah, I know. I was the same way. I wasn't able to rest until that transcript box was check off haha

Ohsnapz sorry to burst your bubble, but you got rescinded. They didn't care when you first told them because they did not have your transcript. Now that they do, they will care. Hope you got back up plans already, because you might as well forget about UCSD.

Doesn't matter if you let them know before hand, you signed a contract stipulating that you would not have a D in your senior year. This was when you accepted the admission. When you ended up breaking that contract, you lost your admission.

it's slightly true what rolfkeke says, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you're rescinded...

best of luck

roflkeke sorry to burst your bubble, but considering that reply was your first post it makes it extremely hard for me to believe that your claim is legitimate.

"They didn't care when you first told them because they did not have your transcript. Now that they do, they will care."

now that's just total BS. of course colleges care when u first tell them u have a D in one of your classes. if ucsd was really insistent on seeing my transcript, they would have asked for a copy just like UCLA requested one from me before admissions.

i was told that a D was fine as long as I maintained a 3.0 gpa... which i did. and considering ap physics is a FOURTH year science, it's not even a required course in the A-G reqs.

Everyone who accepted the UCSD admissions signed this clause:

"All admitted students are reminded that they are expected to fulfill all admission contract provisions. For freshmen, students may have no grade below a C during the senior year or earn less than a 3.0 (weighted) GPA during the senior year. For transfer students, students must complete all coursework prior to summer 2007 and maintain the stated minimum GPA. Any admitted student who does not fulfill any admission provision is subject to admission cancellation."

So you can't have a D, and you can't have lower then a 3.0. Nowhere does it say that one will save you from the other.

Good attempt though, glad to see kids fighting until the very end.

alright so what about all my other friends who got in with Ds? their transcripts have been validated.

Nice try troll.

Why don't you do this, call the admissions office right now. Get an answer on your specific transcript, and report back.

Also kudos for calling me a troll. I'm not the one getting into an argument over the internet. I just came to tell you the truth, and you're getting all hurt.

hell no, i'm not going to do anything you tell me to do.

Oh Snap!!!

roflkeke.. wow ur such an *******. you joined cc just to make a ucsd hopeful worry about his admissions?

ohsnapz don't worry about this guy, he's probably bitter cuz he got rejected or something lol

Umm... No... A D is not fine. Try reading the contract. Three people from my school already got rescinded for receiving D's.

Yeah, UCSD will let some people slip through the crack. Doesn't necessarily mean you're safe.

I'll agree with you here. If you sent UCSD a letter explaining your situation before admissions and they didn't respond back, I would say you're fine. (Unless they never got it) Usually they would've responded with some kind of warning or whatever but I guess not. I hope you sent in another letter with your transcript. Also, the validation thing.. My friend called UCSD and they told her that it takes approx 5-6 weeks for that box to get checked off after they received your transcript... Some people might get theirs checked off earlier but if it hasn't been 5 weeks yet, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

So...

Best of luck. I have friends who are going through what you're going through and I wish you nothing but the best.

^ Thank you... that was very helpful and insightful.

Yes I did send an email before my final transcript got mailed out... and my second semester grades were significantly better than my first. My transcript got mailed later than everyone else at my school because my school needed to revise it to show I had a C in physics.

So I guess I have two weeks more...
