Does anyone know if it is required to send transcript from community college to ucsd even if I dont want to transfer the credit? I got a C in C++ (how ironic) and I really dont want to start the college with that on my transcript ><.

So don't send it to them. No one's going to check or know or care.

Spoken from a person who didn't send in one of her CC transcripts.

So I can take classes at a CC summer before freshman year?? My high school counselor said I shouldn't because UCSD might consider me a transfer student if I enrolled in a CC even if it's for the summer. I don't want to take courses for credit either...just for preparation! I know...I'm a dork.

dude, UCSD will NOT know if you took a JC class and don't report it!

but I listed on my UC app so they will know about it. So is the transcript from JC required, supposely?

just wait until they ask for it ... which they probably won't.

haha kk tyty

UCSD won't fnd out about the jc classes you take if you don't report them? But if they do find out, would you get in some sort of trouble for it?

ok, HOW would they find out? they can barely keep track of their students it is. and it's confidential information. unless you leaked it to them, they have no right to be digging in your files at other institutions.

believe me, if there's the possibility for a lawsuit, they won't go there.

Oh ok. I was just curious. I'm planning to take a jc course this summer before I transfer to UCSD in the fall, but I didn't put that I would do so on the college applications (because during the time I applied, I didn't think I would). And I'm not sure if I want to report the course to them or not. That's why I was curious. Thanks for the info.

uhm but i already said that i took class on the UC app so they would know that i took class at community college. and I read it somewhere that if i dont send in the transcripts before deadline my admission will be canceled so yeah.. >< dont noe what to do

Since you put it on your application I wouldn't take the chance of not sending the transcript.

I 99.9% guarantee you that they will not check. Not unless every person that UCSD admitted wanted to come (all 19000+ admits), in which case they'd have to screen through everyone's apps carefully, since obviously demand exceeds capacity. Otherwise, you're FINE. don't spaz!!

I took a JC class before senior year, didn't do well, reported it on the UC app but never sent in the transcript to UCSD. I actually "lied" a lot on my UC app; I said i was taking x, y, z AP tests but never did (senioritis ftw!). I said I took a, b, c AP tests but I never submitted an AP score report for the corresponding AP tests. I even sent them a hardcopy letter stating I was dropping an AP class (senioritis ftw again!), although I guess that qualifies as telling the truth. no problems so far (2 years now) and I doubt they'll kick me out for this kind of stuff that doesn't even matter down the road.

If your hs transcript and SAT scores match up, they will for the most part, assume you've been honest for the rest of your application.
