hey, what are official school transcripts really? are they just reports from grade 9 onwards? can they be photocopied or do they have to be originals? please help!

yes, they are what some people call 'report cards' or 'score sheets' - your tests and exams grades n such..just attach photocopies and mail them! sometimes you do need to get separate counsellor signatures though....

Transcripts are usually the end of year marks for grades 9 onwards. It might end with 12th grade first quarter grades right now.

As to your question about photocopies, it could be that or it could be originals on "special school paper" or photocopied on regular A4 paper but with the school/counselor stamp/seal on it.

My school has the counselor put her reference, teacher's reference, school profile, the transcript (with school embossed seal on it) in one envelope which she glue shut, put the school stamp twice on it, then signs her name over each stamp then tapes it shut.

Overkill? Perhaps. But it works.

alright, thank you very much.... :)

In general though for certified stuff you should let the school handle it. If its a copy the school needs to sign it or stamp it or whatever.

but my school isn't really used to handling applications and trascripts for the US. so ,basically i have to guide them thru the process step by step.

If you're Indian, then get a xerox of your report cards from 9th onwards and have them attested by a school official.

im not indian... but what do u mean by attested? just stamped and signed?

yup. just photocpy your "academic progress report", have them attested and sealed in an envelope.

can i get all my grades etc written on one sheet for 9-12, print it on school letterhead and signed etc.????
