First, does (did) UF get transcripts after the halfway point of senior year? My IB counselor told us we didn't need to submit transcripts to any of our instate schools, but does UF get them automatically or do they not get midyear transcripts at all?

Second question, reposted from another thread:

I'm a bit paranoid about my grades this year. I got accepted to the University of Florida with a 3.8 weighted; my grades the first semester (we only have 2 semesters a year) were a 3.0, which brought me down to a 3.7 (I got a D in spanish).

This isn't as huge a drop as it seems because my grades weren't all that great junior year either (the move from pre-IB to IB resulted in some lower grades). Naturally I'm pretty worried about the possibility of getting my application rescinded, anyone know what the possible consequences of this drop would be? (I am working on getting higher grades this last semester to show that I'm not totally slipping)

This drop wasn't even due to senioritis or anything, I've been working at about the same level I always have. Senior year IB is a beast, unfortunately.

Edit: I got put in Summer B session instead of Fall (which I wanted), I don't know if that makes any difference.

im in the same boat as you...i actually made a thread about a week ago with similar concerns

im an IB senior also, and my spanish grade is really dropping...I have a D now, and im going to try to raise it, but really i will be lucky if it doesnt drop even more and end up an F
and its not senioritis at all...IB spanish is a *****

im hoping for the best for both of us, though!

Hang in there! You're almost out...trust me I know first hand how discouraging IB can be. Don't worry so much about a single D, you will be fine (we get these questions every year!).

Life gets so much better after IB, I promise!

Yeah, this quarter has dropped a few of my grades. I'm hoping to make up for them with next quarter and have them average alright for the semester.

We've had fifty billion IAs that have taken up my time [I should be finishing a planning lab right now...].

lol IB isnt hard it's just time consuming. i'm glad im done with most of my IA's. only thing missing now is my IOC and T.O.K presentation. but i guess it's all worth it in the end. anyways im slacking this year too, but purely because of senioritis. so.. no one has answered his question 2 yet.. which is also mine =D
