Transcripts to SDSU by May 1st

If you are accepting freshman admittance to SDSU, make sure you get them you latest transcripts by the May 1st deadline.

We may be the only ones who lost track of this requirement, but we did. My son has been deciding what school to attend and has pretty much settled on SDSU. He knew he needed to accept the admissions offer by May 1st, but didn’t realize that they needed his transcripts now because he hadn’t paid attention to his portal. The UC’s only need the final transcript after graduation and we didn’t realize SDSU was different. Now he needs to figure out how to get his high school transcript delivered by Wednesday, as well as his San Diego Community College District transcript for a class he took at Mesa College.

I think that his high school may submit transcripts electronically. I sure hope so. He needs to talk with his counselor first thing Monday morning to figure this out. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a San Diego Community College District transcript delivered to SDSU? For some reason, the SDCCD website is closed to logins on the weekend and we need to wait until Monday morning to login to request the Mesa College transcript.

He will also call SDSU admissions on Monday morning to see if they have any leniency with the deadline to receive transcripts. According to the portal, his admission will be rescinded if all documents are not received by 5/1. This is certainly some unexpected last minute stress. I wish I was paying closer attention to the requirements.

If anyone has ever been in this same situation with SDSU, please share your experience.

@sddanr Where did your son get the info?
According to this this site, official transcript is due by July 15.

I saw it.

Yes. There is a specific list of requirement on his portal also. He just hand’t logged on to it in a while. There is more specific information listed here: https://admissions.sdsu.edu/freshmen/admitted#intent

Just noticed this on the page I linked. Although it says Deadline to Submit on the portal, it seems like a 5/1 postmark also qualifies.
“Reserve your place in the fall 2019 class by submitting all of the following items to the Office of Admissions no later than the deadlines listed below. If all of the items are not received or postmarked by the date listed, it will be assumed that you do not plan to attend SDSU and your offer of admission will be canceled.”

I am sure that he can work things out with his high school’s registrar. I just hope the Community College District sends it out quickly too.

Are you in the same situation @coolweather ?

I answered my own question on the San Diego Community College District. If anyone is in the same situation, since SDSU accepts electronic transcripts from my son’s community college, SDSU should receive it on Tuesday if we order online on Monday.

“Online – Go to e-Transcripts.
Transcripts ordered online will be mailed in 1-2 business days. If the receiving institution accepts electronic transcripts, the transcript will be sent over night.”
