I was accepted to Cal Poly a little over a week ago and am a little confused. We send our transcripts AFTER we graduate highschool right? It says to do that unless otherwise instructed by admissions, but on the “to do” list in the portal there is one saying to send the transcript. Does this mean sending one NOW (without even 1st semester grades!) or is this just a thing that I will be doing EVENTUALLY (in like five months) and the “to do” list is planning ahead?

I’m sorry I can’t be more specefic but the student self service server is down =( and I can’t look.

You will need to send a copy of your transcript after you complete the first semester. You will need to have your school send an official copy after you finish your senior year. They will check to see that you took the classes you committed to in your application and that your GPA stays close to what it was when you applied.

Now that the portal is up I can tell you exactly what it says. It needs a final official transcript with date of graduation, I’m pretty sure that means after graduation. Nowhere has it said to send a first semester transcript, on their website it says early decision transcript deadlines are in June. I think I’m right.

Yes, Cp Slo just wants your final transcripts. There are some students who are asked for their 1st semester/midway transcript as well, but not all.
