<p>Colleges only accept official transcripts that are sent directly from the school or uploaded to be attached to the commonapp.</p>

<p>I don’t know about your high school, but I know what’s typical.</p>
<p>In my kids’ school, and in all the schools where I’ve taught, the guidance counselor mails or uploads an official transcript along with a school profile–a kind of fact sheet about the school that helps admissions officers put the information on your transcript in context.</p>
<p>And colleges really don’t want you to send it yourself. They want an official transcript, sent from the school with no intermediary.</p>
