Transcripts

Hey guys!
I know the general format of the transcripts, after a LOT of reading up, but do some colleges still accept only th 10-12 marksheets?
Have a few friends who submitted, only those and got thru fine.
Was just wondering, thanks :)

In which college does your friend got in.

when i asked this question earlier, the CC-people suggested me to get the transcript done up for grade 9-11, 12(preboard)…
in addition, we MUST send the ICSE, ISC marksheets attached with the transcript.

honestly? from what i have gathered, the colleges prefer the marksheets because it gives them more idea of what the applicant scores rather than changing them to grades. but it also varies from school to school too- since my school graded 80-100 grade A, the difference between 81 and 99 would pretty much have been same. so i had to get 'em changed to a rather better grading scale.

It is also suggested to insert the grades AND marks on the same transcript so as to show a better picture of your scores and marks.

Everything mentioned above was all suggested by the CC members, including the 16’ers heading to states this year and the parents of the States admitted students.

Just send your marks from 9th in a sheet ot two. They don’t want the marksheets rew. You will only send them your board marksheets when they ask for it.

In short, Just send a page with your marks and with your school stamp. :)

Rew I think you got me wrong, I know what I have to send,
But it was just a query. Its not a grades vs marks discussion but rather if sending only 10-12 reports is fine, because some colleges have accepted it!
Soooooo yeah.

Mrinal- aggregate of each year on one paper, attested  easy yes :D

@xNorth22>> My D did not send any separate transcripts only marksheets of class 9~12 and CBSE board certificate of 10th.Some colleges don’t even need that they require Self reported Academic record and colleges give their own format to fill in.So you need to check with the college website for exact requirements.

Colleges don’t want tons of papers. They would like a one page documents than 4 report cards.
Just the aggregrate of every subject in the respective years in one page, and you are done.

North22: You got it, quite easy :D
