Can I ask my high school to give me my transcripts in a sealed envelope, and then mail it via post office, or does UCSD need to receive it directly from my high school?

Also ... I hope it's not too late to request to send them in now?

Some other people I’ve talked to said that they mailed their transcripts themselves. As long as the envelope is sealed and all, I don’t see how there could be a problem.

As long as they ARRIVE at UCSD before or on July 15th, it doesn’t really matter when you request them. If you really want to make sure that the transcript gets there in time, go to the post office and talk to them about it getting there in time. I know you can pay extra and they will notify you when the letter gets delivered, if you’re nervous about it.

How would UCSD know who sealed the envelope?

6.Request that your school(s) send transcripts and other required documents directly to

It doesn’t matter who sends it in, as long as the transcript gets in on time. I requested mine from the district offices and sent it in myself a week ago. They got it just fine.

Warrenfreshman, at my school the transcript itself is stamped twice and signed once, then the envelope is sealed, taped, stamped “Unofficial if Opened or Unsigned”, and signed by an administrator. I would assume that other school would have a similar process. I’m surprised my school even mails transcripts, they refuse to mail transcripts to any where but the school you’ll be attending. For scholarships and private school admissions, and all that, we had to mail them ourselves.
