Yeah John, UCB is it. Nothing wrong with my GPA, its really 3.92, will be 9.4 on the application but above 3.8ish I don't think it matters much. Beyond that, its all about essays the resume. I've taken a couple of classes at Cal and have a 4.0 there. The B isn't in a pre-req or anything, anyways. My problem is EC's, heh. I'm expecting to get rejected and build my resume for another year, but we'll see.

I've only talked to six or so Haas transfer students, but none of them had a 4.0. Shrug.

With your high GPA, I was thinking you could apply for many good schools (stern, some ivy's, etc., not just UCB) and have a competitive chance at getting in.

what major are you applying to for CALS?

Biology (biological sciences), unfortunately. There are a bunch of requirements for applying, and I'm barely scraping them. :) The acceptance rate may be high, but word in the hallways is that it's because of the GT's. May the farming gods be with us.

NO NO NO! Lol I'm sorry, but I must dispel that theory. I spoke with a Cornell office person and they said that the acceptance information on this link is excluding guaranteed transfers (whom they call "special students")
