Transfer 2012

Is there anyone that haven't been given decision yet?
Me and my friends haven't heard anything..

Have you checked your email? I would try emailing or calling admissions to see when you’ll get a decision

I know that they already have some transfer orientation dates scheduled for some, if not all, of the orientation students already. You should call them asap to figure out, and then immediately sign up for orientation. Certain classes, especially classes with good profs are already filling up pretty fast.

TC, I would not worry too much. I’ve been stressing over this for awhile because I still haven’t got a response. I called them and they said it should take another 3-6 weeks, which ticks me off but oh well…

I think the reason why they are taking so long is because they have to first check your transcript for grades, then if they are going to admit you, they have to check to see which courses will transfer.

I know a lot of kids that transferred to IUB after a year at CC or a branch of IU and these weren’t smart students, they were slackers that wanted to just party through college. Their high school gpas ranged from 2.1-2.5 and I think their college gpas when they transferred were 2.4-2.7.

Also, I would not worry about signing up for classes. When professors say their class is full, they are BSing you. There is always room to squeeze in an extra student or two if they really need the course, provided you have a good reason.

Since you are a transfer, you might/will be taking upper level courses, so those don’t fill up fast. Everyone has already registered, so go online and plan out a schedule and don’t worry about not getting in, because you have to remember that everyone else already registered a head of time.

I know I haven’t been accepted yet, but I got all of this advice from my friends who are IU students.
