Transfer academic advising, housing, and major change

HI, i am an incoming transfer student for fall and i had a few questions that hopefully someone could answer or point me in the right direction.

as a transfer student how do i make an appointment for advising? the TSPOP and Transfer Success programs both say they do not have academic advising. is there a link i can click on to see advisor appointment hours.

My current major is Computer science and i submitted a major change to Comp Sci and Engineering over a week ago on my admissions page but still have not heard anything back.

is it possible to change my major or will it be denied?

is it cheaper to live on campus or off campus with roommates at UCI. do you recommend living on or off campus

Thanks for reading any help is appreciated

On your UCI application page, if it is the same as mine at least, it says we will be notified in early June about the advising meetings.

If you meet the requirements for major change, you should be approved. It should be noted that campus requirements for changing majors can NOT be stricter, tougher, higher than the requirement to be admitted into the major as a transfer. For example for transfers in economics you need a B in calculus 1 & 2, but once you’re a student at UCI to transfer into the major you just need a C in the same courses.

I’m doing Veteran’s guaranteed Family Housing (2 bedroom townhouse in Verano Place), so I can’t help you much with that question.

Hope this helped.

I’m going there too, as Computer Science and Engineering…first I was accepted as Computer Engineering, and then I changed it to CSE, and now I’m changing ot to Computer Science lol.
Why are you changing to CSE?
I’m going to dorm at Camino, and I figured it’d be cheaper, since apartments around Irvine are expensive…you better decide soon, they’re getting full.
