adam, when i applied last year for transfer i got the same response about sending final semester grades. it just means that they don't want to make a decision without a little more information. in my case i think it was my first semester grades were a little low so they just wanted to make sure i could do better i guess... it probably means they like everything they see but just want to make sure. good luck!

oh ok, thanks.

you guys are finding out already? what did you guys find out through.. internet webaccount mail ect? email.

I have yet to hear anything from them.

I haven't heard anything either. It is mid-May so hopefully we'll hear soon.

Is there any international student applying to BU?
Is it true that they will not release the decision until they receive financial documentations from International students?

I just logged into the BU Status website, and it is now requesting my Spring grades.

I'm under the impression that this is a good sign -- considering I maintained my 4.0 gpa.

I'm still waiting for them to get mine. I had high hopes but I've turned to negativity again.

I did bring my GPA up from last semester though... hopefully thats a good thing.

still waiting on BU to process me..
they better have some financial aid left

yeah, I still haven't heard anything...

To thsoe who got in to SMG, what w ere your stats for HS and College. and which college did u previously attend

Have still not any of you heard? That is really strange-I heard about 1 month ago....but sadly I have no idea yet what I am going to do for housing....this really sucks!!! But good luck to you all

Yeah, I still haven't heard. I was somewhat iffy on boston at first but I've since then fallen in love with everything the school has to offer. Even the idea of BU's grade deflation sounds like a challenge now. I just want to know.

Hey, I got in! woo hoo!

and I'm 21 already! double woo hoo for boston bars!

fake edit: I mean, a great education.

Seriously though: extremely excited for the city and the school, I really can't wait now.

Congrats Adam! Hope to see you in Boston!

For anyone who has already been admitted, have you received an evaluation of transfer credit yet?

I remmeber my evaluation took a real long time to get. They ended up accepting a total of 70 credits, but after I enrolled I convinced the econ, writing and poli sci departments to accept one more class each.

No evaluation of credit yet...

congrats Adam! If you don't mind me asking, what are your stats?

stats...hmm. these are all estimates keep in mind

Highschool: GPA 2.2
First College: GPA 3.4 (14 credits)
Community College: GPA 3.75 (49 credits, honors program for my major, cross enrolled at U pittsburgh in my major, higher level math classes)
SAT: 1300-ish old score, 1950-ish new score.

I detailed my "story" in the "Bad high school, transfer success story" thread if you want to know more. I think I kinda beat the odds on this one

Thanks, Aztec09. I just did not want to assume that they would wait until they had received my final transcript to evaluate my transfer credits.
