Transfer Accepted/Rejected 2010

Dang, well I am transferring with an A.A. from a community college. Hopefully, I won’t be deferred.

Just got my acceptance letter in the mail last week!!! I applied for the fall 2010 semester back in January, I’m transferring with my A.A. from a Community College.

Congrats to all the future Knights!!! :)

When i applied to ucf i had an 18 on my act’s :frowning: and got deferred from MY DREAM SCHOOL but then i sent in my improved scores (which really isnt better) a 21 and a recommendation letter do you think i will get in i applied for the summer of 2010
i had a
GPA: 3.5 unweighted
GPA: 5.0 Weighted
Community Service:127 hours
Ap classes taken:6 classes ap lit, ap lang, ap us history, ap european history, ap european, and ap physics
What do you guys think??? it has been like three weeks since they have deferred me and im still deferred do you think i will get rejected or accepted?

Cheyjmq- I personally would think yes. Although your ACT score is low, your gpa is amazing! Have you taken the SAT? I would definetly retake both tests because your scores will likely go up. If not, at least they can see that you are trying. Good luck!

Your best bet, as with anything, is to remain diligent.
Retake tests as much as possible, send them updated scores, and always contact them and make sure things are in order. It can’t hurt :)

I’m still waiting. I applied for Fall 2010 in early January.
CC transfer with AA
Pre-prof. GPA: 4.0
Overall GPA: 4.0
Civil Engineering Major

A female in engineering huh?
Very lucky! There’s a ton of scholarship and assistance opportunities for women in engineering studies.

Anyways, I found out I was deferred b/c you need two English composition courses to be accepted. Being in pre-med courses, I try and shy away from (useless) English courses, and to be honest, ucf was pretty low on my list anyway. I’m hoping to join the tribe ;).

JUM-

congratulations on your admission! question though, have you taken both of your math and english courses? I am applying for spring 2011, applied 2/16/2010. I have 48 credits now, still need one more math class, already took ENC1101 and I’m taking ENC1102 now. Just wanted to see where I stand. thankss.

I applied to transfer with an AA degree back in December and finally heard today that I was accepted for Fall 2010! Here are my stats:

Will have AA degree end of Summer 2010.
GPA: 3.76
ACT: 27
Had some EC’s back in high school. Don’t know how much those counted.

If you want more information, ask.

in the interest of making this thread more comprehensive, i’ll post my results.

i found out i got in last week. i applied a long time ago, and you could say ucf is my safety/cheap school, so i probably won’t be going. but here are my stats.

aerospace engineering major
3.6 gpa
AA in may
1240 SAT

Congratulations! You have been offered admission to UCF for the Fall 2010 term. Your acceptance is contingent upon earning an Associate of Arts degree from a Florida public community college or earning 60 transferable semester hours of credit with at least a 2.5 gpa from the last institution attended, as well as overall, two college level courses in both math and english with a grade of ‘C’ or better in each and successful completion of two consecutive years of the same foreign language in high school or eight semester hours of the same foreign language in college.
You may now register for orientation at [UCF First Year Experience - (407) 823-5105](http://www.orientation.ucf.edu)
We look forward to you joining us at UCF!

Now i think i’ve decided to try and get in for the summer and be a transient student. I didn’t realize I could start taking my major classes sooner. Doh!

Hey guys, congrats to those accepted and good luck to those who are still waiting.

I recently received my admissions offer from UCF, so I am relieved considering they are the first school I have heard from so far.

For comparison, my stats are:
-transferring from UNF
-60 credits
-previous applicant
-3.2 GPA, with As in junior-level coursework
-23 ACT
-History major

It took them about three weeks to get back to me, and it’s rolling so if you dont hear anything by then, I would give them a call and double check that all your materials were received.

Does anyone know if you are automatically deferred if you don’t have the 2 math and 2 english classes? My daughter did not have to take math classes at her college because of her high ACT score. She ended up taking stats anyway, but is short a math class.

Thanks in advance for any info!
