I'm wondering if anybody can enlighten me about how transfer students are selected at Columbia. I know they are very stern about making sure you will be able to graduate in four years, as they do not want anyone to stay extra time to earn a degree. So does that mean they will look at the courses you took and then decide whether or not you will be able to finish the degree in four years depending on your major? Do they consider the option of summer school that a student will have to take in order to complete the degree, or will they just look at regular school semesters and then reject a person if they will not be able to complete the degree without summer school? I hope this isn't confusing, if you need clarification just let me know! I appreciate all answers! Thanks!
