I am currently a student at a top 70 university and am looking to transfer. I am a freshman. What would be my chances at the following schools?
Cornell CAS
Upenn CAS
Yale
Columbia College
These are my stats
GPA: 3.8
ACT: 35
SAT 2s: 780, 760
Extra Curriculars
Fellowship in a social venture club
Member of the Campus Activites Board
Member of Student Government
Member of Asian Cultural Exchange
Work in a Tutorial
I had a 3.5 in high school at a very difficult and top tier high school known throughout the country

Transfers are are more difficult to the schools that you listed then freshman admissions. The acceptance rate is about 1/2 the normal rate.

I don’t think that you will know for sure unless you apply, but frankly my best guess is “not good”.
From your other thread my understanding is that you are a freshman at university. As such your high school grades will be important. You are trying to apply to highly selective schools for which your high school grades are on the low side. For the very most selective schools getting in via transfer is more difficult than as a transfer. Your university grades are good, but not “top 1%” sort of grades. There will be a significant number of students who has straight A’s for their freshman year of university, and the four top schools that you have listed don’t have enough spots for the straight A students who want to transfer there.
I think that you need to focus on doing well and being happy where you are now.
