Transfer admission chances?

Ok, so I didn't do all that great in high school. Pretty average grades, no D's or F's but a few C's I think my GPA was somewhere around 3.2 and an SAT of 1150 or something.

I know I had no chance of getting into CH with that kind of record so I'm currently attending WCU. I was wondering what my chances would be of getting in as a transfer student if I had like a 3.8GPA after a year or two.

thx,

Yeah, definitely. It's pretty easy to get into UNC as a transfer. Just keep your GPA high.

cool, thanks that's a little bit of hope at the end of the tunnel. :D

Sure thing. I got in and I did worse than you did in high school.

How tough is it to transfer from out of state if I already go to a top 25 school?

Not hard at all. I think it's about the same as transferring in state.

Why would you transfer from a top 25 to UNC? Just wondering..

Because I very much dislike cold weather and UNC is only like 2 behind my current University.

Gotcha. I was just wondering. Good luck!

How tough is it to transfer from out of state if I already go to a top 25 school.... but am currently pulling a D in Calculus (it's only my first semester and I have A's in all my other classes.)

Will this SEVERELY impact my chances?

Like I said, it's not any harder to transfer in-state than out of state. But that said, you still have to have a decent GPA. A D may hurt a little, especially if it's your first semester. The fact that you go to a top school will help. To put things in perspective, I know people who have transferred from OOS community colleges. They usually have at least a 3.6

I was curious..I am looking to transfer from SUNY albany to SUNY geneseo. I currently have a 3.3 at albany and I am in Phi Alpha Delta Pre Law Frat. I was wondering how my chances are to get into Geneseo.

WRONG forum. This is the UNC-CH forum.
