Transfer admission decisions

Anyone know or heard about transfer decision around this time? I'm still waiting. Are decisions done via email or letter?

Thanks!

I called yesterday morning. Decision letters were put in the mail on monday so they should be coming soon!

Also, I have gotten emails already about being invited to the 2018 experience (Transfers are invited too) as well as financial aid. However, I still have yet to get an official acceptance letter…

MyROC now updated. A window pops up with a letter.

I’ve been accepted as a transfer for fall 2014! Anyone else?

I was accepted almost a month ago and I am ready to submit my deposit. But the high possibility of having to living off campus is bugging me. For people who plan to attend, what are your plans for housing?

I was accepted a week ago as a fall 2014 transfer, and I’m waiting to see the financial aid I’m offered before making a decision. Not sure about my housing plans, I wouldn’t mind living off campus but I’ve heard that parking at U of R is a pain. Any thoughts?

I would like to live on campus. But living off campus doesn’t seem too terrible especially compared to the Riverview apartments. It’s the same distance

@mungkibbutt True, but I want to live on campus mainly because of safety/ social life concerns. I am also living at home and commuting to college right now so I wouldn’t want that big of a transition…being completely independent haha.

And I have also heard that parking is expensive and strict. But it’s probably like that at many other college campuses. The cold weather just makes it a little worse, maybe.

Campus would definitely be better during the cold months. Otherwise biking/ busing would have worked. I really do hope we get housing.

If we did, any idea if we would be with the freshmen in Sue B or would we be upperclassmen?

Transfers are housed in the upperclassmen dorms, not with the freshmen. Once the housing lottery is done and tge housing office has accommodated all students going on away semesters next year, you’ll be contacted. Most likely availability would be in the Southside dorms.

The housing office maintains list of apartments, but most students looking for rentals used either a rental agent or craig’s list

I got an email on Monday saying that we should have access to housing, dining, and orientation information on May 1st

I have still not received any decision, it says my app is still in step 1. Am I the only one?

When did you turn your application in? You should call and make sure that you have turned everything in.

I submitted everything in February, so I think that is why I got a quicker response.

They technically have until July to tell you.

@Mungkibbutt‌ Just before the priority deadline. I didn’t have a tick on my transcripts before a couple of weeks ago, but I e-mail me and they assured me that everything was complete. I just sent them a new e-mail about it, so I’m hoping they’ll get back to me soon. Congratulations on your acceptance! And to everyone really.

That might be why your decision is a bit delayed. They should have a decision for you by July! Good luck

For those of us who are still waiting, I just called and they said that all decisions should be sent out within 2 weeks.
