How hard it is to transfer to Cornell? What r the statistics like(act average score, GPA, etc)? I'm an international student from Brazil who needs full ride and they are need-aware for intl's! Do they give "full ride" if admitted? What's the social life off campus like(city, night life, etc)? Thanks!

anyone???

financial aid is not guaranteed, and is limited, for International Students.

But, do they give full ride if admitted?

It is possible to get a full ride, but not guaranteed for internationals. The terminology “need-based admissions” means that they take your ability to pay into account during the admissions process. This means that they can decide whether or not they want to accept you based on your ability to pay. This is different from “need-blind admissions” for non-internationals, where admissions is done based solely on your grades, ECs, test scores, etc and not on your ability to pay.

Considering that I need a full ride, do you think I should apply to Cornell or not?

I can’t decide that for you. If your interest outweighs your financial doubts, then apply.

But, do they take international transfers who need full ride? If so, do u know their stats (ACT score, etc)? I’ve read that some colleges (like Hamilton) generally take just junior transfers. Do u know if Cornell takes sophomore transfers too? Thanks!

Possibly. No, why would I? Ok. I think so. You’re welcome.

Thanks 4 ur help! If I be admitted, I’ll also be '15. Maybe we’ll be classmates!

Cornell offers aid on a limited basis to accepted Int’l students - so you may be accepted but not offered aid.
