I applied to transfer to FSU 3 weeks ago from FIU and have been obsessively checking online stats every day. How long does it take to find out if you are admitted for a transfer (upper-level junior)? Also, how restricted is the Economics program ? I know they have limited number of admissions, but is it realistic to get into? I have 3.0-3.1 GPA, plus all prereqs completed (90 credits), so I?m just curious if it is realistic for me to transfer, or should I just register for next semester at FIU? Anyone, who transferred to FSU, your help will be appreciated on any topic!

I don't know about transfer admissions but I don't think you will have any problem getting into the Economics limited access major once you are accepted. They only require a 2.5 cumulative GPA and 52 prerequisite liberal studies credits including ECO2013 and ECO2023 must be "C" in these. You have to decide if you want ECONOMICS or APPLIED ECONOMICS. In either case, you have to choose a minor.

This link explains the undergraduate requirements, available courses and comparison between the two majors:

Thanks for the response. The reason why i'm a little worried is that I need to register for next semester already (FIU or FSU), or i won't have all the classes I need for my senior year. I'm just hoping they'll decide already!

If you are able to register at FIU without incurring any costs as long as you drop the classes before the drop/add deadline, I would go ahead and leave my options open. You should also check the FSU course lookup for FALL 2007 and make sure your needed courses are still available.
