I thought we were supposed to get FA today…

@transferr2014 well at least your still not waiting on decisions…

accepted!

Got an amazing FA package. GW is looking pretty definite for me as of right now.

Congrats! @bparkTRANSFER

I got accepted! Having trouble with the whole GWid thing but can’t wait to the conditions of my acceptance. Regardless of any money I receive I’m still going though! Good luck to everyone :)

Does anyone know if theres a transfer facebook page?

@transferr2014 I don’t think there is one. I’ve been searching and found nothing

Anyone looking for an oncampus roommate? I figure finding one on here is better than someone random. Im a guy btw.

FACEBOOK PAGE FOR 2014 TRANSFERS
https://www. facebook .com/groups/803368496375147/

Thought I might as well start one so we can meet each other and help resolve questions before CI!
For some reason the whole link in censored so just take the spaces out before and after facebook :P

Anyone else get their housing? I’m kind of taken back at the price haha.

@Transferr2014, did you get an email or did you just randomly check the housing site?

@Equality72521 randomly checked the roommate assignment button on the application

How long did it take you to get your housing assignments? I had to wait for financial aid so I just applied today…

@Transferr2014, what building were you assigned to?

@Equality72521 City Hall.

phewwww that means they aren’t necessarily dumping us on the Vern. City hall is on the Foggy Bottom campus if i remember correctly, right?

@Equality72521 Yup! My roommate also seems to be a transfer so that may be where they are putting a bunch of them. I visited it yesterday and they were renovating the entire building and ripping up the floors. It’s also in a really cool area that is like a 10 minute walk from the Georgetown shops. Just some info incase that is where you are placed too.

Hey guys, for those who were wondering the transfer acceptance rate is 41% and about 300 students transfer in per year.

http://www.gwhatchet.com/2014/01/20/admissions-office-opens-more-doors-for-transfer-students/

If any of you were placed in West (on the Vern) and would like to live in the (newly renovated) City Hall instead, let me know! I know most people don’t like living on the Vern, but I don’t really mind it so I would be more than glad to give out my spot. I would hate to see any of you miss out on Foggy Bottom campus life.
