i still haven't heard...usually mail only takes two days to get from Wesleyan to me. Hopefully it's not a bad sign...

I'm in! Ahhhh!

in as of today...

I live in eh ct... 15 miles from the school and it took two day... if that helps anyone estimate the time it will take for their letter to arrive

so ctmath, what was your response?

i'm still waiting (here in PA)...

congrats mlevine! I guess I will hear tomorrow. I don't know why I'm so anxious to hear all of a sudden...I pretty much decided that I was not going to go even if I did get in but now that the decision is on its way I'm starting to change my mind...

For those of you who got in...did they update anything on the financial aid page? Today they updated everything for me and put something up about a Stafford Loan. I assume they figured out my aid package even before they knew if I was in or not so it probably doesn't mean anything but then why would they bother updating it today?

Anyway, congrats to those who got in!

oh im accepted and I'm going.

I skate boarded at Wesleyan when I was a teenager and didn't care about school at all... four years of the military, five years of unrewarding 9-5 work, went back to a community college and pulled a 4.0 for 4/6 semesters (only two B+s for 67 credits... everything else was an A) and now i'm going to Wesleyan...

this is the best day in years

as for the fin aid, nothing on the site has been updated for me but if you recall earlier from this post they still needed more information from me... so i expect that to happen anytime.

i got a big arse white envelope too... with a course catalog in it... so if you get a skinny letter :/ ...

They say they are missing my FAFSA and PROFILE, despite our receipt claiming that they were both sent there. My mom is calling tomorrow to talk to them about it. If I won't receive aid, or will receive considerably lower aid because of this, I'm going to try to defer my admission or see if I can be garunteed admission next year so that I can get a better package.

the mail already came today and no decision...

i called and they said if we don't hear by tomorrow we can call and get the decision over the phone

A girl who transfered to Wesleyan last year called me today to answer any questions about the transfer experience. It's really cool that they cared enough to have someone call me. She was really helpful.

mlevine-she called me, too. I hadn't even got the letter yet and I had no idea what she was talking about when she congratulated me.

now i've got some thinking to do...

nice way of learning your acceptance. hehe.

congrats to everyone, by the way.

have you heard yet lactransferhopes?

yeah, she actually called my house so i didn't get to speak to her, but i think its very impressive that they do this

yeah i got an acceptance yesterday (but no call...? well, actually maybe there was, but i wasn't at home most of yesterday), but i also got an acceptance from swarthmore yesterday...and that's where i'm going. it is pretty cool that they have someone that was a transfer call. throughout the process i wanted so badly to talk to transfers students at the schools i applied to, and i still have tons of questions.

i definitely appreciated the call, too. The only thing was I wasn't really ready with questions because I didn't know I had got in. I still haven't received my letter....turns out they sent it to my house but I am still in school until june 10...

They had emailed me about where to send my letter, I thought they emailed everyone. Looks like a lot of CC kids got in, pretty cool.

i got my decision yesterday... wasn't accepted. wesleyan seems like it would be the perfect school for me, but alas, it isn't to be. since this was the last decision i was waiting for, it does feel really good to just finally be able to plan where i'm going to be next year. congratulations to you all that got in, you guys worked hard and are very fortunate, enjoy wesleyan!

where will you be going, liz?

mmm, well it's narrowed down to either Hampshire College or Univ of GA, my state university, or even, but very very doubtfully, moving to the Savannah campus of my current school, Savannah College of Art and Design-Atlanta (hahaha... what a strange three schools to be choosing from). I haven't visited Hampshire, and unless someone tells me something amazing about it soon, I think it's looking like my state uni. It's a bit frustrating that I'm going with UGA after putting soooo much time and effort and longing into all these funky little northeastern LAC's, but somehow I still feel pretty good about it. And, hey, it's free!
