Transfer Advice needed

Hello all,

I’ve recently been accepted into SDSU’s Aerospace Engineering program for the Fall of 2017. I’m currently enrolled in Differential Equations, physics 2, and Materials Engineering class. I will be receiving an A in Differentials, and a B(possibly an A) in Physics 2, but unfortunately my materials class I’m failing. Ironically, my overall gpa will increase, even with this hiccup in my class, but the reason I have for failing this class is valid in my mind… I’m not certain if details are necessary on this forum, but it was due to an unforeseen passing in my family causing added pressure at difficult times during the semester. My teacher unfortunately was not sympathetic to the situation unlike the other two classes i’m in.

My question is, what should I do? I really don’t want this to be the reason my offer is resent, irregardless of the tough times, the grades do not reflect my academic ability and I don’t want sdsu to view it that way.

Any advice on how to approach this situation is appreciated. This was a rough semester and It’d be even more devastating if something worst were to happen.

Thanks…

You should call admissions to hear straight from SDSU. Maybe they will let you retake it over the summer. Unfortunately, failing a course constitutes grounds for being rescinded.
