Transfer advice: UIUC-Business

I'm hoping to transfer to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign: College of Business from a CC. Currently my cumulative GPA is 3.5 (3.11 first semester and 3.82 second semester). This semester I'm on track to receive A's in 4 out of 5 of my classes except for Business Calculus which I will most likely receive a C in. Would it be wiser to take a W (which will be the only W on my transcript) and retake the class next semester in hopes to get an A, or should I take the C, which will drop my junior year first semester GPA to 3.6? I have all of the required transfer classes completed. I know that essays and extracurriculars play a large role in the admissions process, however from just an academic point of view, which option would make me a more competitive applicant, given that I plan on getting a 3.8+ my second semester?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

any advice guys?

If you have over a 3.75 I think that should be fine. I know they always set a quota of the amount of transfer they want to take so it really depends on how many people decide to transfer into business. I’m a CS student at UIUC right now and I’ve been told that for transferring into CS, it is relatively easy despite it being one of the top programs because they never meet the quota for the amount of transfers.
