Transfer advice

<p>Hello everyone. I am a freshman at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and am considering transferring. I am looking for some advice. I currently have a 3.5 GPA and plan on raising it after this semester. i should finish this year with 30 credit hours completed. I am wondering if i should transfer after this year or wait it out another year. My high school record is not very good. I finished with a 2.8 GPA and an ACT score of 27. I am looking at transferring to Marquette University and University of Texas at Austin, but am not dead set on either one. I am currently not involved in clubs or any extracurriculars in college but plan on joining a few this semester. My major right now is English with a secondary education certification. I would appreciate it if you could chance me at Marquette and UT. Some other Universities that i am a match at would also be appreciated.</p>
