transfer advice

I plan on applying for transfer admission for fall 2007.

Right now, I am in the process of registering for my spring semester classes at my current college. From research, I gather that ND admissions takes into account how well an applicant's freshman schedule adheres to the First Year of Studies program. My planned credits, including AP credit, adhere fairly well. I will (only) be missing three semester hours of a science class. Does anybody know whether or not my lack of these three semester hours will hurt my chances for transfer admission? And for that matter, how hard it would be to make up three semester hours?

It shouldn't hurt you but they will make you take that class should you be accepted before you can come to ND, so basically you would have to take it over the summer. It is pretty common.

Check out my website, it will hopefully give you some hints... www.nd.edu/~mnadorff/transfer. Let me know if you have questions as I transferred to ND in 2004 (hard to believe it was that long ago)
